This is a very rare Conklin gold mechanical pencil from the mid 1920s. The model number is 4VM. The condition of this pencil is in very good condition with the exception of a few small dents along the barrel and tip. The mechanism is in pristine working order. The lead extends and retracts like new. New eraser was installed and the erase holder is in excellent condition. Comes with extra lead. Please review the photos. Etched inscriptions on top near the cap: “Conklin” “Made in USA” “PAT. 7-6-20” “Rolled Gold” There is also an engraving on the barrel: “IMOGENE”
