This is an antique English Propelling pencil with an Amethyst on the end. It is clearly marked for Brimingham 1831-2 with JW for Joseph Willmore. It appears to have held 5 leads. I do not know if it still works. Condition is very good with no dents or scratches to the silver and the crystal appears perfect. Measures 4 1/2" long. Weighs approximately 19 grams.
