Rare Victorian Twist Propelling Dip Pen Ebonite Gold Filled Chatelaine approximately 2 in long wind closed. Unlike more common slider-button models, this premium piece features a smooth, continuous twist mechanism. Twisting the barrel extends a flat, quill-type tension collar designed to securely grip a standard steel pen nib. Once extended, you simply insert a nib, dip in ink, and write. When done, remove the nib and twist the mechanism to safely retract the holder inside, protecting your clothing or pocket from residual ink.
