This is a Scripto No. 4-47 mechanical pencil made in Atlanta, USA. The pencil is aluminum with a black lacquer. The finish is worn minimally at the high points, but it is highly present on the majority of the pencil. The mechanism is working properly with lead present. New Old Stock vintage "Legendary Pencil Co." leads (and erasers) can still be sourced for these reliable daily workhorse writers including various colors or hardness grades as desired!
