This is a Scripto No. 4-47 mechanical pencil made in Atlanta, USA. The pencil is aluminum with a green lacquer. The finish is worn minimally at the high points, but it is highly present on the majority of the pencil. The mechanism is working properly, but has no lead in it. New Old Stock vintage "Legendary Pencil Co." leads (and erasers) can still be sourced for these reliable daily workhorse writers including various colors -- green to match -- or hardness grades as desired!
