Vintage white dot Sheaffer Valiant Mechanical Pencil, Black w/ Gold-filled trim

For sale is a clean post-war (post 1948) Sheaffer "valiant" series pencil in black celluliod with gold filled trim. The pencil propels lead as it should, the mechanism works well. Vintage leads can be sourced for these, requiring 0.036 inch lead or 0.9mm. The pencil has the correct imprint, though it is difficult to see in the photograph. Nice vintage writing instrument, easy to use and maintain.
